These traditional instruments are made from calabashes, a type of gourd that has often been used as a bottle for carrying water.
Having been hollowed out and carefully dried, the calabashes are covered with a hand crafted net of beads which can then be shaken, tapped or rubbed to give the distinct sound.
By owning a Calabash Cabassa, you not only embrace the beauty of traditional craftsmanship but also make a positive impact on the lives of artisans and their communities. We take pride in supporting artisans from around the world, ensuring that their skills are valued and their communities are empowered.
