Fair Trade Prayer Flags

Bring harmony and well-being to your home or environment with this set of 10 Tibetan prayer flags. Each pack comes in your choice of medium or large size, and includes a helpful information sheet that unveils the rich history and symbolism behind these sacred objects.

Woven into the fabric of time: The practice of hanging prayer flags stretches back thousands of years, originating in the Bon tradition. Traditionally used to achieve balance between the elements and promote health and well-being, these flags carry powerful meaning.

The language of blessings: The Tibetan word for prayer flags, “Dar Cho,” translates to “increase life, fortune, health and wealth for all sentient beings.” The vibrant colors and Buddhist imagery on the flags represent these aspirations.

A graceful impermanence: Made from natural cotton and strung with durable nylon cord, these prayer flags are designed to weather the elements. As they fade and fray over time, they embody the impermanent nature of all things. Traditionally, used flags are burned to release their blessings, while new ones are hung with renewed intentions.

Versatility for your space: Display these prayer flags indoors to cultivate a sense of peace and harmony, or hang them outdoors – the higher the better – to send blessings on the wind.

Respectful display: These flags are adorned with sacred symbols and mantras. Treat them with reverence by hanging them with the intention of benefiting all beings, rather than focusing solely on personal gain.

Available in two sizes:

  • Medium: Each flag: Approx: 11.7cm × 17.8cm, Full length: Approx: 1.8m
  • Large: Each flag: Approx: 14cm × 20.4cm, Full length: Approx: 5.5m
