Description
Hot Swazi Fire Chilli Sauce
Made with natural ingredients that are ripened in the African sun.
This hot chilli sauce is seriously fiery! With such a high chilli content and a unique blend of cayenne and bird’s eye chillies, a little will go a long way. Here are some ideas for how you can use it:
1. Spice Up Sauces or Marinades
Add a small amount (half a teaspoon or less) to sauces, marinades, or dressings to give them a serious chilli hit. For example, mix it into barbecue sauce, a soy-ginger marinade, or even a yoghurt-based dressing for a spicy twist.
2. Fiery Stir-Fry
Incorporate a little into a stir-fry sauce with ingredients like soy sauce, sesame oil, and honey. Stir it through vegetables, meat, or tofu for a bold, spicy finish.
3. Boost a Chilli Con Carne
Stir a tiny amount into chilli con carne or other stews and casseroles. It’ll enhance the heat without overpowering the overall flavour, especially when balanced with the sweetness of tomatoes and beans.
4. Spicy Mayonnaise or Aioli
Mix a small amount of the chilli sauce with mayonnaise, aioli, or sour cream for a spicy dip or sandwich spread. This is great with chips, burgers, wraps, or grilled meats.
5. Add to Tacos or Wraps
Use it sparingly as a condiment in tacos, burritos, or wraps. It pairs well with ingredients like grilled chicken, beef, or even roasted vegetables, giving them a fiery kick.
6. Hot Pizza Topping
Drizzle a tiny bit over pizza after baking for a spicy touch. It works particularly well with pepperoni, sausage, or veggie toppings.
7. Fiery Noodle Bowls
Stir a little into noodle bowls, soups, or broths for a spicy twist. It’s perfect for dishes like ramen, pho, or even a spicy peanut noodle sauce.
8. Boost Salad Dressings
Add a small amount to salad dressings, especially those with lime, honey, or soy-based ingredients. It works well in Asian-inspired salads or slaws, adding heat without overpowering the freshness.
9. Hot Chilli Oil
Mix a tiny bit into sunflower or olive oil to create a spicy chilli oil. You can drizzle this over roasted vegetables, pasta, or pizza for a hit of heat.
10. Spicy Marinade for Grilled Meat
Add a small amount to marinades for chicken, pork, or prawns before grilling. Combined with lime juice, honey, garlic, and oil, it’ll give the marinade a serious punch.
11. Upgrade Beans on Toast
For an easy but spicy snack, stir a touch of the sauce into baked beans or chilli beans before spooning them over toast. Top with grated cheese for a delicious (and fiery) twist.
12. Heat up a Bloody Mary
For cocktail lovers, add a tiny drop to a Bloody Mary or even a Michelada (spiced beer cocktail) to give your drink an extra kick!
Since this sauce is extremely hot, it’s important to use it sparingly and taste as you go! 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
