Rangda Mask

Rangda masks are traditional Balinese masks representing the mythical creature Rangda, often used in dance performances.

Rangda is a demon queen in Balinese mythology associated with dark magic and witchcraft.

Rangda masks are often used together with Barong masks in Balinese performances, creating a dramatic dance known as the Barong and Rangda dance. Barong represents benevolence and is a mythical lion-like creature, while Rangda symbolizes malevolence. The dance portrays the eternal battle between good and evil, showcasing the dynamic folklore of Balinese culture.

The masks are intricately crafted with exaggerated features and are a significant part of Balinese cultural and artistic expressions.

All masks are hand carved so the one you receive could differ slightly from the pictures shown
